Mr. Healy's Band
Two of CLIB’s journalists got the opportunity to speak to Mr. Healy and interview him about his talented band…
Who thought about setting up a band? And where did this idea come from?
Well, I suppose the idea came from me when I realised how much talent we have here at CLIB and I got inspired by all the assemblies Form 5, mainly, did including singing, like when Form 5 sang “Fix You”.
Have you ever wanted to be a famous singer or part of a famous band?
Not really as I don’t really have much talent, in relation to music!
How are the preparations going for the Summer Fete and Commencement?
I think they are going quite well and it helps that the band are very motivated as they are doing something that they enjoy!
What songs are going to be performed in the Summer Fete?
For the Summer Fete, we have a rock group (João Acácio, Bradley Aldridge, Pedro Santos, Paulo Santos, Coraline and Pratik Panthee) who are going to be singing and playing “Scar Tissue” by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and “Jumping Jack Flash” which was originally sung by the Rolling Stones. Also, “Pumped up Kicks” by The Foster People will be sung by the rock band. As the Summer Fete is on the last day of term, we want everyone to be in an energetic and possitive spirit because we want to leave on a high note!
And what songs will be performed at Commencement?
As Commencement is normally emotional, the songs perfomered will be “Skinny Love” which was originally sung by Birdy, with Coraline singing and Rozhan will be playing the piano. We also have Form 12 and the choir singing “Ho Hey” by the Lumminers and “Menina está a Janela”, song
and played by Maria Afonso, Rozhan and the Choir. Finally, Form 5, João Acácio and Pratik will be singing and playing “Fix You”, however I adpated the lyrics so it is now “Miss You”.
Will the band continue to exist next year? If so, what will you be doing? Well, the band is continuously evolving and hopefully it will go on to next year, but we can’t predict the future! Also, it would be great if our band could motivte and help other school bands in the coming years; this is for the band to decide, as they should take responsibility as it is really important!

Dear Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn, Louis
We just want to thank you for such an amazing concert on the 26th of May 2013 in Lisbon, Portugal. It was our first time watching you guys live, and it definitely won’t be our last: you gave us a “heart attack”. The night before we couldn’t sleep and we ended “up all night”. “I wish” to know “everything about you” and for you to attend one of our school assemblies on a Friday afternoon. As school is finishing we wouldn’t mind “one thing”, which is for us to be your “summer love”. We could “save you tonight” and we wouldn’t make the “same mistakes” as your past relationships. These “little things” have “taken” “more than this” to come up with, which is “what makes you beautiful”. “I loved you first” and you’re “still the one”, “nobody compares” to you five. So come back to Portugal, but Braga this time, because you” stole my heart”.
